In order to strengthen their financial team, we are looking for a (m/f): FINANCE MANAGER

Function:

As Finance Manager, you report to the General Manager and you supervise a team of 6 people, consisting of an accounting team and an analysts’ team. With their support you are in charge of the overall financial management:

• Managing all accounting matters, for both local and group requirements – ensuring compliance with the accounting principle for statutory accounts and with IFRS for Group reporting;
• As a Controller, being responsible for annual budget, forecast, strategic plan and variations analyses;
• Reporting and analysing financial and operational KPI’s;
• Analysing financial data and results, and communicate them both internally and externally; assisting in the decision making process;
• Representing the company towards external institutions: Tax, VAT, banks, insurance companies, and external auditors;
• Coping with all legal aspects of the company: statutory accounts, tax return, minutes of board & shareholder meeting;
• Being part of the senior management and assisting in the monthly meeting. Therefore acting as the key actor for all finance related matters;
• Being the interface between Finance/Controlling and all the other departments;
• Being also the contact person for the Nexans Finance community and preparing any request either for the board or for the Group;
• Managing the Treasury and the daily cash position. Being in charge of the hedging in foreign currencies. Being aware of any credit control and cash collection issues, with the help of your team;
• Sensitive to Risk Management, continuously improving internal control procedures.

Profile:

• You hold a master degree in finance or equal through experience, with a thorough knowledge of general and analytic accounting. You know the basics of consolidation, taxes and legal items;
• You have 3 to 4 years experience as an auditor in an international audit firm and a further experience as an operational and financial Controller in a multinational company (in the industry is a plus);
• You need to be proficient with MS-office products and particularly with Excel & PowerPoint, Access is an asset. You are familiar with an ERP (preferably SAP) and data warehouse tools (e.g. Business objects);
• You are properly trained into IFRS principles;
• You are fluent in English, any other European language, especially French or Dutch, would be valuable;
• Thanks to your calm, self-controlled appearance and your stress-resistance, you motivate your team and meet the deadlines;
• Structure, persistence, good communication and organisation skills are high-favoured qualities.
