Key Tasks:

You will be part of our new Java development team that is working on the next generation RIS/PACS solutions (solution for imaging intensive hospital departments), where you will be part of the platform team, defining the architecture for the connectivity integrations. Our integrations are based on existing healthcare standards, such as IHE, HL7 & DICOM and the related management and monitoring tools. The job requires a high interest in both technical and functional aspects of software development. Deployment of work will be Gent.


Required Qualifications:

Profile
You are growing or already have a passion for java desktop and open source technologies.
You feel confident in an agile working environment.
You have gathered relevant java development experience either professionally or via open source contribution.
You don't mind short trips abroad.
Required qualifications
Degree:
Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent through experience.
Experience:
You have several years of hands on development and design experience in a java project with significant size and complexity.
You are familiar with hospital workflows and have experience with development of HL7 and DICOM connectivity.
Languages:
You have a good knowledge of English
Soft skills:
You are a team player and can solve a problem independently. You are interested in the synergy of business functionality and technology.
Specific skills / other:
Minimal: J2SE, J2EE , EJB3, Swing, Eclipse, Design patterns, OOA/D, web services, JUnit, Maven, relational databases (Oracle) & JDBC
Extra's:
SDO, JBoss, profiling, healthcare IT business, Hibernate, OSGI, subversion, SourceForge, Java Open Source technologies, Hudson.
