PR & Advertising Manager EMEA (ref. : 7276)

Your Mission

You will be responsible for promoting the FLIR Systems brand and products through public relations and advertising activities. You see to it that articles and application stories are being published in a wide variety of national and international media (magazines, journals, websites…). You will take responsibility for all advertising of FLIR Commercial Systems in EMEA. Your duties and responsibilities include : identifying a wide range of relevant media in different countries – building and maintaining close contacts with editors eligible to publish articles about thermal imaging cameras for various applications – setting up a media database – developing an EMEA PR network with independent agencies for local publications and press conferences – creating a yearly advertising schedule – timely delivery of all material in the correct format and language, including quality control, tracking of results and accurate reporting.

Your Profile

The ideal candidate has a successful trackrecord as PR & Advertising Manager in an international work environment. You have a real ‘Salesman’-mentality with the ability to actively ‘sell’ the PR-product to different editors. You are in possession of good negotiation skills in order to get a premium price for advertising in combination with PR articles. You are able to discuss technical topics clearly and convincingly on the phone. You have advanced writing, presentation and interpersonal skills. You can liaise efficiently with a wide group of people in- and outside the organization. You are strict in respecting deadlines and strong in working autonomously. You have a good working knowledge of MS Office and you are fluent in English with other languages as an asset. You are able to travel within the territory.

You will report directly to the Director of Marketing EMEA (Breda based).
