Safir recruitmentâ„¢ is urgently looking for a senior Finance Assistant AR to work for one of our international clients in Brussels.

Working environment
Together with a colleague, you will be responsible for the Belgium Accounts Receivable section of our international client.
The entire accounting department counts approx. 10 individuals.
You will work in an international public sector environment.
You will have to deal with a lot of nationalities and a wide variety of issues.

Job description
As Finance Assistant Accounts Receivables, you will perform duties such as the following:
- Generate complex invoices based upon contract information, offers and procedures
- Maintain accounting data in the Core Financial System related to the Accounts Receivable activities ;
- Assist in preparing Financial Reports and statistical data related to Account Receivable data.
- Provide support to other finance staff as required.
You will also be responsible for closing old invoicing data. You will need to look up past transactions, make the right calculations and clean up the date of finished projects.

Profile
- Vocational training in finance and/or accounting or practical billing experience;
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in financial accounting;
- Skills in automated finance and accounting systems;
- Experience with MS Office applications and especially knowledge of MS Excel;
- Knowledge of International Public Sector Accounting Standards;
- Well organized, methodical and can-do spirit;
- Able to work independently in a complex environment;
- A good knowledge of English, both written and spoken, is essential.
- It is an asset if you speak French.
