To strengthen the Dotcom team’s position in terms of ‘readiness’ and ‘support’ for the future online needs of Bose, the company recently defined a new role for an enthusiastic (m/f)

ONLINE OPERATIONS (RESOURCE) PLANNER

Role
Your main role will consist of supporting the Dotcom Management team in assigning resources to new project requests, ensuring they will be effectively equipped with resources, of the right skills, at the time they are needed. Therefore, you will consolidate, visualize (reports, dash boards, …) and monitor resources utilized and needed, and prepare ‘what if scenarios’ in case of potential shortcomings. You will inform and offer solutions to the Dotcom Management Team and the Marketing Communication Operations Manager, and you will report to the Dotcom Manager Europe. In case external resources are needed, you will establish relationships with sourcing partners (e.g. contracting agencies, free-lancers). This includes negotiating the commercial terms.

Besides from the planning, resources need to be used as efficiently as possible. You will help define processes, standards and tools that allow to measure the overall schedule and performance of the projects and the planned allocation of resources.

To improve resource planning, you will need to review, configure and optimize existing tools, or supplement/replace existing tools with new, more appropriate resource planning/assignment tools. To ensure other users can effectively work with such tool(s), you will train the respective individuals and provide user documentation for continuous reference. The team will rely on your advice with regard to performance (productivity) issues and work flow improvements, based on clear and comprehensive data and flow charts (Visio, …). Overall planning and process alignment issues will be discussed with the planners of other departments.


Profile
• Educated to B.A. degree.
• Demonstrable expertise in a Traffic/Planning department of a service company (which deals with a wide range of different types of projects and clients simultaneously), providing long term forecasting and resource tracking services.
• Good understanding of web activities/online projects is preferred but not mandatory.
• Excellent planning and work prioritisation skills.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to acquire and present Management Information at all levels of the company.
• Ability to deliver to aggressive timescales.
• Self motivated, flexible individual that can initiate action and work in team.
• Assertive personality capable of interfacing with a diversity of functions and people.
• Effective writing and verbal communication skills, able to grasp and describe the overall high-level picture quickly.
• Expert level of MS Office, planning software and visualization tools.
• Proficient use of English language, Dutch preferable.
