EPF is the European federation of wood-based panels and represents the manufacturers of chipboard, MDF and OSB with the European and international institutions. The European offices of EPF are established in the centre of Brussels, right next to the inner ring road and by the Trône/Troon metro station.

We are looking for an enthusiastic (m/f):

Economic advisor

Your task will be to closely monitor the economic developments within the sector and, in this respect, to be the contact point for members and the outside world, such as the press. You will be responsible for all European statistics about the wood-based panels industry and you will compile an extensive annual report concerning the sector. You will study client sectors, such as the European construction and furniture industries and report regularly to member companies about new market developments. You will develop expertise regarding international business, in particular relating to trade agreements and protection against illegal trade practices.

You have an economics education at master level with at least some years of experience in a similar function. You are well organised and communicative. You can work either independently or in a team and you are happy to accept responsibilities. You are capable of making confident presentations. For that reason, you must have an excellent command of both spoken and written English. Additional language abilities, particularly in French and/or German, would be an advantage. You are a hard worker and are prepared to travel abroad occasionally.
