What the job offers

The network engineer will work as a team member of a global network support team which manages network devices on a worldwide basis from firewalls up to switches and routers.

The engineer will mainly work as a Tier3 support network engineer to resolve/report incidents or implement requested changes.

Key Responsibilities

The tasks of this role are:
· Participate in resolving of escalated tickets
- Troubleshoot and solve complex technical problems and customer complaints
- Analyze problems and take proper corrective action
· Clear communication to the end-user/business
- Suggest improvements in current internal/external Customer Services related processes and customer communication
- Report to Team Leader on customer requests, problems and complaints on a daily basis
· Participate in smaller projects
· Eager to build expertise with new technologies, devices and tools
- Maintain knowledge regarding technical specifications of products, training and complaint handling


Skills & qualifications

· 3 years of experience in routing and switching (Juniper OR Cisco)

· Capacity to analyze and fix reported issues on a standalone basis

· Strong sense of commitment to team and department

· Be highly accurate and flexible

· Good communication skills to translate IT language into end-user language.

· Excellent knowledge of Dutch, French and English
