Dit kan gaan van de levering van speciale onderdelen tot de realisatie van een volledige processinstallatie uitgerust met de nieuwste automatiseringstechnologie.
De afdeling pompen ontwikkelt, produceert en verkoopt al meer dan 75 jaar pompen voor industriële en utilitaire toepassingen. Deze jarenlange ervaring en expertise, gecombineerd met hun brede productenassortiment, maakt hen één van de meest betrouwbare pompenproducenten ter wereld.
De ontwikkelingsafdelingen zijn voortdurend bezig met de verbetering van pomp principes en het ontwikkelen van nieuwe producten.

Wij zijn voor hen op zoek naar een Mechanical Design engineer voor de R&D afdeling.
Deze persoon moet vrij zelfstandig ontwikkelingsopdrachten realiseren, enerzijds op maat van de klant en anderzijds nieuwe productlijnen ontwikkelen.

Mechanical Design Engineer
Responsible for design of mechanical components and/or complete pumps including generation of engineering details, such as production drawings, part lists (ERP data) and technical documentation material as assigned by the Engineering Manager.
Carries primary technical responsibility for specific projects and performs engineering calculations required to determine product size, product specifications, capacities, design parameters, etc. to meet company requirements

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
• Responsible for finding solutions for technical problems as defined in commercial product specifications.
• Responsible for performing engineering calculations required to accurately determine product size, capacity and performance to meet required design parameters.
• Design of technical components in 3D CAD and make production drawings in 2D CAD (Solid Edge)
• Preparation, input and maintenance of engineering data in the ERP system eg. article numbers, product structures, document management.
• Provide material for technical sales documentation – support in writing technical descriptions, sectional drawings, exploded views, principal sketches, data tables etc.
• Follow-up of performance test results and support the assembly department with technical information.

PROFILE

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Solid technical knowledge of general mechanical engineering: strength calculations, sizing, machine parts, materials etc.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in technical product design using 3D CAD (Solid Edge), preferably in designing casted parts and/or pd-pump components.
• Familiar with MS Excel and Word.
• Languages: fluent (written and spoken) in Dutch and English
• Able to communicate about proposals, advises, decisions with other departments and external parties (suppliers, customers, research institutes etc.)
• Able to work independently and accurately as well taking the role as technical lead within a multidisciplinary project team.
